Diversity, Inclusion & Talents

Placing people at the heart of our CSR strategy

At ALTEN, we understand that diversity and inclusion are essential in building an innovative and sustainable future. With a team of over 57,000 talents spread across more than 30 countries, our strength lies in the diversity of our employees and our commitment to support them in their career development. Our human policy focuses on three main axes: gender equality, inclusion in all its diversity, and our talent development.

Promoting feminization of scientific professions

Since its creation, ALTEN has been determined to integrate more women into its teams. Aware of the challenges related to the under-representation of women in our sector, we actively work to reverse this trend through targeted initiatives aimed at attracting and supporting female talents.

Since 2015, we have seen significant progress, with an increase in female representation reaching 31% in 2023 within the Group. This commitment is manifested by our support for the feminization of scientific professions, encouraging young women to consider careers in engineering while ensuring equal treatment and a balance between professional and personal life.

Our key initiatives and commitments :

Charter for gender diversity

By signing the engineering charter for gender diversity, we reaffirm our desire to enhance gender diversity in our sector.

Women’s Empowerment Principles

Our adherence to the United Nation’s Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in 2024 strengthens our action to promote gender equality, especially at work. This initiative supports gender equality in line with the 2030 Agenda and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Stories of Women in Engineering

Each year, we celebrate the careers of our female colleagues by publishing inspiring portraits that illustrate the diversity of possible careers, thus encouraging future generations of female engineers.

Supporting people with disabilities

We are committed to creating an inclusive work environment for everyone, by increasing awareness initiatives and developing policies that promote the integration of people with disabilities.

Participate in territorial development and support associations

Staying true to our commitment to being a responsible company, we engage daily with local associations in support of solidarity, diversity, and inclusion through financial donations and material goods (such as IT equipment, books, clothing, and food). We also share our expertise with organizations of all sizes and provide our skills through skills sponsorship. We are dedicated to our roots in the communities and aim to contribute to their development.

Attract, develop and retain our talents

Professionally integrating young people

We invest in the future by actively supporting the integration of young people into the professional world. ALTEN collaborates with engineering schools and universities and offers conferences, training, and workshops that prepare students for the challenges of the job market.

Long-term collaboration

ALTEN is committed to retaining its employees through profound human values deeply ingrained in our DNA. We create an environment where our talents want to progress within the organization thanks to geographical and professional mobility programs that allow them to project themselves in the long term.
